Nominated for Four Categories in The Glasgow Business Awards

Glasgow Chamber of Commerce has announced the shortlisted entries for The Glasgow Business Awards 2022. We are delighted to announce KC Group Shipping’s nomination in these four categories:

• The Glasgow Business Award for Best Performing Small-Medium Business
• The Glasgow Business Award for Excellence in Communications
• The Glasgow Business Award for International Trade
• The Glasgow Business Award for Entrepreneur of the Year – recognising our Managing Director, David Milne.

Now in their 24th year, the awards recognise a diverse and vibrant array of leading businesses within Glasgow. A black-tie ceremony at DoubleTree by Hilton, Glasgow Central, will take place on Thursday, October 6. The awards will recognise companies and individuals across 17 categories.

David Milne, KC Group Shipping Managing Director, commented, “For over 30 years, Glasgow has been home to KC Group Shipping. Although we have a presence and operate worldwide, we recognise that Glasgow is where it all began. To be recognised by The Glasgow Business Awards selection committee is fantastic, although to be recognised within four categories is phenomenal.”

David continued, “The nominations come at a time when as a business, we are experiencing growth throughout every area of the company. It’s a very exciting time for us, and I want to acknowledge our fantastic team at the company. The dedication and service excellence they show is what ultimately means we are recognised by peers and for prestigious awards.

This year, we have welcomed around 15 new members of staff. It’s encouraging to see how quickly they have integrated into our culture and how much new energy they bring.

Our BeKC company culture initiative programme is pivotal to long-standing employees and those now joining us. We are proud of the levels of customer support we deliver. Still, we are equally proud of how we do it and work together as colleagues.
